The month of August was packed with so many surprises!
SWEET, sweet summertime surprises! I was whisked away on a Surprise getaway to Seattle & Denver for an early birthday celebration. READ the Blog post here. Here’s a list of everything you can do in Seattle, from the top tourist attractions to the best vegan dining.

I don’t know about you but I LOVE to celebrate all month long for my Birthday. And I love this quote and picture of me celebrating with an vegan icecream cone. “Laughter is Timeless, Imagination has no AGE, and Dreams are Forever!”

Had an amazing time celebrating my birthday at TPC Sawgrass Nineteen restaurant. We want to give a very special thanks to Chef Azhar of TPC Sawgrass and his team for preparing an exceptional, vegan, nutritious, wonderful meal for us.
From the fresh green pea & berry salads that the chefs prepared to the chickpea falafel fritter + tomato jam on a pretzel bun with a side of berry salad. The healthy coconut rocks + raspberry sorbet birthday dessert was mouthwatering.
We are blessed to say that there were so many celebrations that we are greatful for: from dining at TPC Sawgrass Nineteen restaurant to being on WJXT Channel 4 News, to being interviewed on Buzz Media TV, having our first HEAL Tribe Summer Potluck and teaching a Social Media 101 Class to the First Coast Holistic Alliance group, to attending the Last Sunday North Florida Influencers Event. Wow that’s a lot of things to be packed into one month. Continue reading below for all the pictures and stories from each event.

Eid-Al-Adha Celebration

Wishing our dear friends & family Eid-Ul-Adha Mubarak ~ Eid prayers took place this year at the University of North Florida main campus center. Friends and neighbors of Jacksonville gathered for prayers and attended festivities.
Eid al-Adha, also called the “Festival of Sacrifice”, is the second of two Islamic holidays celebrated worldwide each year, and considered the holier of the two. This Islamic festival is to commemorate the willingness of Abraham to follow God’s command to sacrifice his son, but in it’s place is a lamb. It also marks the end of Hajj, the annual Islamic pilgrimage to Mecca in Saudi Arabia.
Friends and neighbors celebrated with prayers, giving to the needy, feasts and festivities & exchanging gifts with little ones!

Friends, Fun & Laughter, with Balloons & Ice Cream Trucks and so much food, we loved the chickpea tamarind Papdi Chaat appetizer.

It was a full house with so many health practitioners in attendance from the holistic community of North Florida attended this event. The class focused on social media marketing the do’s and don’ts as well as the basics and a lot of Q&A from the audience.
All the participants were asked to bring their mobile devices and we engaged in a fun exercise at the end to follow each other’s social channels and support their fellow practitioners with prizes to the person who did the most following!
